Ecount's Schultz Honored as 2008 CFO of the Year

Ward Schultz Recognized by Philadelphia Business Journal and Drexel University for Outstanding Contributions to Company's Fiscal Performance.

Conshohocken, PA, July 31, 2008 – Ward Schultz, Chief Financial Officer of Ecount, a Citi company, was recently recognized by the Philadelphia Business Journal and Drexel University's LeBow College of Business as the 2008 midsize company CFO of the Year. Schultz was also a finalist for the Turnaround Achievement award.

Schultz was among 18 finalists and winners from the Philadelphia region who were publicly recognized for their "exemplary professionalism, integrity, resilience and mastery," according to Lyn Kremer, publisher of the Philadelphia Business Journal.

Candidates were identified through a nomination process solicited by the Philadelphia Business Journal and its partners. An independent panel of judges selected the finalists and top winners in categories according to organizational size. Judges made their selections based on a number of factors including the nominee's contribution to the organization's growth or profitability, as well as how their initiatives strengthened the organization's market position. Particular emphasis was given to those with a commitment to ethics and community. Schultz was the winner in the category of Midsize Company CFO of the Year.

"Ward transformed the value of finance by delivering profit-and-loss statements from the organization level down through product, sales channel, and even individual client level," stated Glenn Rieger, a general partner at NewSpring Capital.

Schultz joined Ecount in May 2004 and made an immediate impact.. His knowledge of the company's cost structure combined with the implementation of a proprietary revenue-forecasting system helped lead the business to profitability.

"Ward has a unique skill of working with high growth companies to strengthen their financial systems," said Matt Gillin, CEO of Ecount. "He was instrumental in helping us to achieve our financial objectives."

Schultz received his master's in taxation from Villanova, and a BS in business administration with a dual major in accounting and finance from Drexel University.
